We'll open with a fast -paced set featuring Improv North's Freya Parker (Wonka, Jurassic World: Domination, Lazy Suzan) & Paul Foxcroft (Ted Lasso, Brassic, Questing Time) as well as our international guests and a couple of local legends!

Then we'll follow that up with our feature presentation! All the way from Winnipeg - Instant Modern Classics!

Completely unscripted and entirely captivating... Instant Modern Classic brings you a fresh, full-length play improvised by a cast of master storytellers. Will tonight’s tale be a gripping drama, a scathing satire or the next great comedy? Watch a classic come to life before your eyes, never seen before and never to be seen again. GUEST WORKSHOP: 'WHAT MAKES GOOD LONG-FORM?'

STUDIO BEE, FARADAY STREET, MANCHESTER

As well as joining us to perform at Walrus, Stephen Sim will also be running this fantastic workshop - 'What Makes Good Longform.'

Steve is an improviser with over 30 years of experience, this session offers clear, practical guidance through the complexity of long-form structures. Longform can feel like a mystery, but it doesn’t have to. In this workshop, he’ll help you break down the essential components of strong longform work: from seamless transitions and grounded narrative choices to what truly makes a scene land. You’ll explore the mechanics behind great longform and learn how each element contributes to compelling ensemble play.

Whether you’re looking to tighten your scenework or deepen your understanding of form, this workshop will help you build confidence and connection. Don’t be intimidated, be curious, creative, and ready to level up.

"Anyone thinking about taking Stephen's class - do it! You won't regret it" - Scott Angus

Please note - the venue for this class is up two flights of stairs and is not, at this time, accessible.
