Service Description
Let's take some time over summer to polish some skills! Join Paul Foxcroft for an evening of improv training that's a little different from or usual faire. A large number of short-form games were developed to train specific skills in improvisers by committing them to a specific behvaiour or restriction to focus in on the relevant skills. And some are just dumb. But we're going to spend this evening looking at a selection of the more useful games that can be readily leveraged in long-form work. We'll start with New Choice - an essential game for developing flexibility and fluidity in scenes. Then we'll move on to some status exercises to build the skills for useful and naturalistic dialogue. And we'll wrap up the whole evening with some verbal resctriction work, and see how we can apply it to the Harold. Plus, when we wrap up - we get to have excellent beers upstairs at Monk. This session is open to any current or former student, we'll be building on the essentials of Level One - but not repeating them. So if you're not a current or former Improv North student, do check before booking.
